Dr. Miller doesn’t want the tigers to vanish. These majestic beasts are disappearing at an alarming rate. Dr. Miller thinks that we should write to our congress people. If we let them know that we demand the preservation of this species, maybe we can make a difference. Dr. Miller also thinks that we should donate to Save the Tigers. Our donations will help to support and empower those who are fighting the hardest to preserve the tigers. We owe it to our grandchildren to do something.

• The Olympic Games started in Greece 3000 years ago. They took place every 4 years. The modern form of the Olympic Games started in 1896. In 2016, the Summer olympics were held in Brazil.

• Only men were allowed to compete in the original games in Greece 3000 years ago. The men had to be greek, and not slaves. Slaves, women and people from other countries couldn't participate.

• It takes a lot of food to feed the athletes for the Olympic Games but it also creates leftovers. To reduce food waste, some famous chefs came up with a plan. They fed the leftovers to the homeless.

Many countries adopted daylight saving during World War I to conserve coal during the war. Daylight saving time was stopped in the United States in 1919, after the war's end. It was re-established nationally during World War II.

In 1966, President Lyndon Johnson signed a law choosing dates for daylight saving. However, states could decide not to adopt it.

The 1970s brought an energy crisis. Congress enacted earlier starting dates for daylight time. Oil and gas were in short supply after conflicts in the Middle East, where much of the oil used in the United States came from.
