what are hazards to the eye

hazards from fire

• throw wood to take the fire out

• Keep flammable materials away from sources of heat

• throw water on the fire

• don't tell nobody and walk out the room

Table Saw

• run around it and yell

• put your hands inside of it

• unplug it when you are done with it

• Never use the rip fence and miter gauge at the same time.

Hazards - Chop Saw

• Used to make accurate cross cuts with varying angles.

• Always keep material firmly against the fence

• Avoid cutting small pieces of material.

• don't have your phone or airpods near it

Hazards - CNC Machines

• Make sure the tooling and speed are appropriate for the material.

• Stay near the machine while it works in case of any problems.

• rush through it so you can finish faster

• Be aware of the location of the emergency shut off.

Hazards - Circular Saw

• Useful for ripping larger pieces of material into smaller workable sizes

• run around with it in the class

• Be aware of what is under the material you are cutting.

• more then one person can use it while its moving

Hazards - Nail Guns

• point it at one of your classmates

• put in on your skin as a joke

• Always be aware of what is on the other side of the material you are nailing

• Always assume the nail gun is loaded and ready to fire.

Safe or Unsafe to try to stop a piece of work caught and is spinning on a drill bit.

Hazards - Band Saw

• Always wear safety goggles while operating

• Use your hands to remove small pieces near the blade

• Run the saw at maximum speed for all materials

• Leave the machine running when not in use
