The proboscis monkey is a long-nosed monkey native to Borneo, found in mangroves, wetlands, and coastal forests. It has reddish-brown fur on its head and shoulders, and gray fur elsewhere. Males are larger than females and have a large hanging nose used to attract mates. They live in troops of 10-32 monkeys led by the strongest male, and spend their time jumping in trees and swimming between islands. Their diet consists mainly of mangrove leaves, seeds, and fruits
