When a student plagiarizes on a test/quiz what should a teacher/educator do?

• Call their and tell them immediately, as well as giving their student an F on the assignment.

• Teach the student to be honest and to not repeat this mistake, as well as forgive them and give them a second try on the assignment.

• Act like you didn't know they plagiarized and give the student an A anyways.

• Forgive the student and tell them not to do it again.

Why do actions and choices matter?

• Our choices matter but they don't lead to good actions and outcomes.

• They don't matter.

• Our choices matter, and our actions can lead to meaningful outcomes.

• Our choices and actions should be chosen for us by an adult or teacher.

What does it mean to show respect and forgiveness?

• To show consideration and appreciation for others, as well as letting go of resentment or anger towards someone who has wronged you.

• To show consideration and appreciation only towards adults and elders.

• To consider others opinions, ideas and perspectives. As well as, caring for others feelings and not holding grudges on other people.

• No one should give or get respect and we should never forgive anyone for anything. You should hold that grudge forever!

Why is it important for a teacher and their students to use honesty in the classroom?

• Students and teachers should be able to communicate honestly with each other in order to create a trusting relationship.

• Teachers should not be honest with their students, they should lie when a student asks them a question, and students should never tell their teacher the truth.

• Teachers should be a mentor to students, showing students how to be honest in and out of the classroom. They should be an example to their class and explain the positive outcome of being honest.

• Teaching students honesty provides the skills needed to take on new opportunities, behave with integrity, and build strong, trusting relationships.
