A Woman and the Wolves
A long time ago, very few people lived in the New Territories. There were only a few villages. If the people wanted to go from one village to another, they often had to pass through wild and unsafe forest.
One day, a farmer’s young wife went to the next village to visit her own mother and brother. She brought along her baby son. When it was time for her to leave, her brother said “ it is getting dark. Let my son, Ah Tim go with you though the forest.”
So Ah Tim led the way and the young woman followed behind, carrying her baby. When they were in the forest, suddenly they saw a group of wolves. They began to run to avoid the danger, but Ah Tim kicked against a stone and fell down. At once the wolves caught him. The young woman cried to the wolves, “ please eat my own son instead.” Then, she put her baby son on the ground in front of the wolves and took her nephew away.
Everyone understood that this was because the woman was very good and kind. She had offered her own son’s life to save her nephew.
They ran back to the house and called for help. All men in the village fetched thick sticks and went back with her into the forest. When they got there, they saw something very strange. Instead of eating the woman’s baby the wolves were playing with him.

In ancient times, there was a kingdom called Medang Kamulan be governed by a king named Prabu Dewata Cengkar the wild and liked to eat human. Every day the king ate a man who brought by Patih Jugul Muda. A small portion of people who worried and were fear flee secretly to other regions. In the village Medang Kawit had a young man named Aji Saka who was incredible , diligent and good-hearted. One day, Aji Saka successfully helping old man by two men beaten it. By wearing turban in the head Aji Saka went to Medang Kamulan.
Going to Medang Kamulan was not really smooth, Aji Saka got combat for seven days with seven-night watchman forest devil, because Aji Saka refused slaves made by the devil watchman for ten years before the forest was allowed to pass. But because he's incredibility, Aji Saka successfully avoided bursts of fire from the devil. After Aji Saka praying, yellow rays from the sky stroke the demons from the forest and the devil died. Aji Saka arrived in the quiet Medang Kamulan. At the palace, Prabu Dewata Cengkar were angry because the Patih Jugul Muda did not bring the victim to the Prabu. With bold, Aji Saka facing Prabu Dewata Cengkar and submitted themselves to eat by Prabu by exchanging land area of turban. When they were measuring the land upon Aji Saka's request, turban continued to sweep so wide beyond the Prabu Dewata Cengkar's kingdom. Prabu was angry after knowing Aji Saka intention was to end tyranny of Prabu Dewata Cengkar. When Prabu Dewata Cengkar were angry, Aji Saka's turban moved strongly in the Prabu's body. Aji Saka threw body Prabu Dewata Cengkar and fell to the south sea and then lost by sea waves. Then Aji Saka appointed as The King of Medang Kamulan. He brought his father to the palace. Because the government was wise, Aji Saka brought the Kingdom Medang Kamulan to golden era, the era where people live quiet, peaceful, prosperous and safe.
