Once upon a time in a small village, there lived a young man named Joko Tarub. He was known for his kindness and adventurous spirit. One day, while wandering in the forest, he stumbled upon a beautiful pond. To his surprise, he saw seven beautiful maidens bathing in the water. Fascinated by their beauty, Joko hid behind a tree and watched them.
As the maidens finished bathing, they put on their clothes and flew away to the sky, leaving behind their magical shawls. Joko, wanting to meet them, quickly grabbed one of the shawls and hid it in his home. The next day, when the maidens returned to the pond, they were unable to fly back. One of them, named Dewi, felt sad and searched for her shawl.
Joko decided to help Dewi, but he kept the shawl a secret. They soon fell in love, and Dewi married Joko. They lived happily together and had children. However, as time passed, Dewi longed for her home in the sky. One day, Joko's curiosity got the better of him, and he revealed the hidden shawl. Dewi was heartbroken but chose to leave, taking her shawl and flying back to the sky.
Joko learned that love is about trust and sacrifice. He often visited the pond, remembering the time he spent with Dewi and reflecting on the importance of honesty in relationships.
