An area in the spreadsheet window where a formula can be entered.

The act of searching a database for records based on conditions the user inputs.

Symbols used to compare values, e.g. >= meaning greater than or equal to.

+, –, *, / and other symbols that can be used for maths.

Something that is checked to determine whether it is true or false.
