• I check how many wires are connected here and write the number down.

• I check the internal earth connection of the electrical device.

• I check if the power cable of the pump is the correct size.

• I check if the temperature is not too cold to pull cables.

• I check if I have the correct tools to perform work on earth connections.

What do you have to check here?

"Cable- entry / glands / pull relief"

• I check the cable entries with a leak detector. If the cable entries are leaking, I tighten the connections.

• I check if the correct gland/blind is used, still in a good condition, and if not, I remark the correct size for replace.

• I check the cable gland if it is water proof with a high pressure water unit.

• I check the strength of the gland by pulling the cable out of the gland.

"Spare glands are blinded"

• I check if the gland is correct for this power cable.

• I check if I have some some blind plugs with me if I need to use them.

• I check all the cable entries, and spare glands. Every cable entry must be blinded/plugged with the correct material.

• I check if the blind plug is not made of wood. It is not allowed anymore.

"Cable numbers installed"

• I check if the cable number and the tag number is the same. It must be the same always.

• I check if I can read the type of the cable on the cable. If not, I remark it.

• I check if every cable has a cable number. Every cable must have a visible cable number. If they miss it, I remark it.

• I check if the cable has a cable number. If not, I can fix it with a pen.

What do you have to check here?

"Cable installation correct"

• I check if the cable installation is correct, including cable support, ty-raps, damages on cable. I remark if something is incorrect.

• I check the temperature of the cable with a thermal camera. If it is too hot, I must turn off the power.

• I check if I have enough ty-raps with me to support the cable.

• I check the insulation of the cable with an insulation tester. If the value is less then 1 megaohm, I remark it.

"Disconnected cable and cores protected against weather conditions"

• I check if all the cables are disconnected, if not I disconnect the rest of the cables.

• I check the weather. If it is not raining at the moment I don't have to use bags.

• I check if all the disconnected cables are protected with a bag so it does not allow water flow in. Opening of protecting bag must look down!

• I check if all the disconnected cables are protected with a bag. I use many ty-raps so the position of the bag doesn't matter.

• I check the impulse lines with an pulse oximeter. If the result of the tester is fault. I write down the value and remark it.

• I check the impulse lines visually, looking for damages. If it is damaged I remark it.
