This comes from the Spanish dance "fandango", characterized by lively steps and clapping to a varying 3/4 beat. It requires excellent balancing skills to maintain the stability of three oil lamps placed on top of the head and at the back of each hand. This famous dance of grace and balance originated on Lubang Island, Mindoro.

This means "bamboo dance" in English. The dance imitates the movement of the tikling birds as they walk between grass stems, run over tree branches, or dodge bamboo traps set by rice farmers.

This is highly favored by the Waray people of the Eastern Visayas region in the Philippines. It is one of the traditional dances in Leyte and Samar provinces. It is widely danced, especially during fiestas, family reunions, and weddings. It is referred to as a courtship dance, where dancers imitate the courtship movements of a rooster and a hen in a creative way.
