GCSE number conversions: Binary, Hex, Additions, Shifts

Convert denary 44 to hexadecimal.

Convert hexadecimal 19 to denary.

Convert hexadecimal A3 to denary.

Convert binary 00110101 to hexadecimal.

Convert binary 11010111 to hexadecimal.

Convert hexadecimal FF to binary.

Start with this simple addition.

0011 +0100
(convert to denary to help you check your method is correct only
- do not add in denary then convert to binary)

Use the same techniques as you did in the last question to find the binary result.

0001 + 1100

This one will carry into a new column. Remember that like in denary addition, the last carry just makes the number bigger and is added on to the left of the number.

1010 + 1011

Use the carry row again and remember: 1+1+1 = 1 carry 1.

0110 + 1110
