What is an unconditioned response (UCR)?

• Unlearned response the occurs naturally in reaction to unconditioned stimulus

• Something that naturally triggers an automatic response

• A formerly neutral stimulus that, after associated with an unconditioned stimulus, comes to produce a conditioned response

• a behavior that does not come naturally, but must be learned by the individual by pairing a neutral stimulus with a potent stimulus

• What is Positive Reinforcement?

• Reinforcing behavior with punishments

• Reinforcing desired behavior by providing an incentive

• A technique that has no effect on a child's behavior

• A technique where the child doesn't care about their parent's rules/restrictions

What is negative reinforcement?

• Removing a consequence after a child completes a desired behavior

• Removing a positive action after a child completes a desired behavior

• Not removing anything

• Forcing a child to do a behavior without any conditioning
