Who is a person of a particular country who has a right because of being born there or because of being given the right?

People born in Jamaica or Jamaican parents are citizens of Jamaica. People born outside of Jamaica to Jamaican citizens can register as Jamaican citizens.

People who are citizens of other countries can become citizens of Jamaica. They must live in Jamaica for a minimum of five years, have a good character, and be able to finance themselves. The process may take about two years.
