Press end connections and electrofusion joints shall be assembled in accordance with:

• BS EN 1057.

• Manufacturer’s instructions.

• Copper Tube Society instructions.

• Gas Safe Register Technical Bulletins.

The main protective bonding conductor on gas pipework should be made using a cable with a minimum cross-sectional area of:

• 2 mm².

• 6 mm².

• 10 mm².

• 18 mm².

The maximum interval between horizontal pipework supports for 15 mm copper gas pipework installed between solid timber joists is:

• 1.0 m.

• 1.5 m.

• 2.5 m.

• 3.5 m.
