• The lowest and cheapest part of a ship where immigrants often traveled.

• The highest part of a ship with luxury accommodations.

Tenement

• A crowded and often run-down apartment building, usually with poor living conditions.

• A large, modern apartment building with plenty of space.

• A house owned by a wealthy person.

• A type of building where ships dock.

Sweatshop

• A workplace where workers, often immigrants, are paid very low wages and work in poor conditions.

• A place where workers have good working conditions and high wages.

• A store selling clothing and accessories.

• A building where workers take breaks and relax.
