Noise abatement procedures shall:

• require reduced thrust for take offs

• require all flights to depart on runway heading

• not prohibit reverse thrust during landing

• require PIC to nominate preferred SID

NADP1:

• at 800ft, reduce thrust and climb at V2+10-20kts; at no more than 3000ft, accelerate and retract flaps

• at 800ft, maintain takeoff thrust and climb at V2 to V2+10; above 3000ft, accelerate and retract flaps

• at 1500ft…

• visual guidance for PIC to sight runway threshold

• visual guidance for specific route for noise abatement

• warning of other aircraft that an aircraft is landing

Who is responsible for noise abatement?

• Operator with approval from state of operator

• Operator with approval from state of aerodrome

• ICAO

• CAA of the country

When is NADP not required for approach into an aerodrome below 300ft minima?

• wind up to 5kts gusting

• Crosswind up to 10kts gusting
