What is a citizen?

Why do we have rules?

• To keep people safe.

What does the government do?

• Makes laws and helps people.

• Tells people what to do all the time.

• Stops people from voting.

What is freedom?

• Making choices about your life.

• Always following others.

• Never following rules.

What is voting?

• Choosing leaders or making decisions.

• Writing the rules.

• Telling people what to do.

What is a community?

• A person who lives alone.

• A rulebook.

• A group of people who live and help each other.

What is the Constitution?

• A group of leaders.

• A paper about local rules.

• A big rulebook for the country.

What does the Constitution tell us?

• How to break rules.

• How the government works.

• How to make a community.

Who can vote?

• Kids under 18.

• Only government workers.

• Adults 18 years and older.

Why is voting important?

• It helps make decisions for everyone.

• It doesn't matter.

• It's only for fun.
