Starting at rest, John walked away from his house. Then he waited for a bus. As he waited he thought he forgot his homework so he went back home only to realize it was in his backpack. Since he missed his bus, he ran to school. He worked at school and then ran back home.
Starting at rest, John increased his speed at a constant rate. Then maintained it for a while before decreasing his speed as he climbed a mountain. As he went down the mountain his speed increased. At the bottom of the mountain, he had a constant speed before he slowed down and then stopped.
John started a race. In order to get ahead of everyone he ran really fast. Once in 1st, he stopped running. He lost a shoe and had to run back for it. Once he got his shoe, he ran really fast to try and get back to first. He couldn't keep going so he stopped and ran back to the start to give up.
