Dividing with Decimals

When dividing with decimals, if the divisor (on the outside) has a decimal you-

• ignore all decimals and divide like normal

• "Slide & Slide"

• count place value and move that many to left

• "Raise the Roof"

When dividing with decimals, if the dividend (in the house) has a decimal you -

• "Raise the Roof"

• ignore the decimal

• move it over 2 places

• add a decimal in the divisor
