Multiplying Decimals with Power of 10

When the divisor is a decimal: 1st step is

• Multiply the divisor by a power of 10 to make it a whole number. (Move the decimal to the right)

• Multiply the dividend by the same power of 10. (Move decimal to the same number of spaces as the divisor)

• Place the decimal in the quotient directly above the decimal in the dividend.

• Find the answer.
