• No exposed wounds exist in sores. Despite being uncomfortable, the skin is unbroken and untorn. The skin doesn't blanch, or temporarily lose color when your finger is pressed against it and then removed, giving the appearance of being flushed. Dark-skinned individuals may not experience redness; nonetheless, the spot may appear to be a different color from the surrounding skin. It is frequently warmer to the touch. The sore might also feel different from the surrounding skin in terms of firmness or softness.​
