What should you do  If you do not understand a direction or part of a procedure while in the lab?

• ask the instructor before proceeding

• do nothing

• ask your partner

• leave the lab

Where should backpacks be kept while you are in the lab?

• Outside the lab in a classroom

• Inside the lab against the wall

• Under the lab tables

• On your backs at all time

What should you do after performing experiments using your hands?

• Wash your hands with soap and water

• Rub your hands with a towel

• Rub your eyes and face

• Wash your hands with special chemcials

Are you allowed in the storage room or preparation area?

• No

• Yes

If there is a fire drill while we are in the lab, what should you do?

• Cover containers and turn off equipment

• Take the experiment with you outside to be safe

• Stay in the lab. Don't leave.

• Make sure the gas valves are on.

Which should you NOT do when using sharp materials

• Carry it with the tip downwards

• Cut towards your body instead of away from your body

• Always hold it by the handle

• If you drop it, don't try to catch it

When do you have to wear goggles?

• If we are using glassware

• If we are using checmicals

• If we are using heat

• All of these

What clothes/styles are allowed in the lab?

• Long, untied hair

• Loose, dangling jewelery

• Sandals

• Full foot covering shoes.

Do I have to wear a lab apron if the teacher gives it to me?

What do you yell out if you or your lab partner are hurt?

• Ow!

• Code One!

• Code Red!

• Teacher!
