• Little aquatic plants, few small animals would depend on shed vegetation to fall into the stream

• Black willow, smartweed,cottonwood, and sycamore along with more collectors than shredders. Rooted plants would have difficulty living because of how deep and cloudy the water is

• Both rooted and floating aquatic plants and many types of animals have a niche in which to live. E.g. algae, water willow, sycamore, snail ,crayfish, scud, channel catfish, bluegill, largemouth bass and gar

• Nothing could live in a fourth order stream
