What is the Nitrogen Cycle?

The Nitrogen Cycle is when the sun gives off its energy to the plants, when they make photosynthesis. When the plants are finished with this process, they release big amounts of carbon and oxygen into the animals that eat the plant. Then, animals’ respiration process, or breathing process happens. The animal releases the carbon back into the atmosphere, back to the plants, which start it all over again.

The Nitrogen Cycle is when bacteria takes nitrogen from the atmosphere and draws it into the soil, so that plants can be able to use it. Plants then change the nitrogen into amino acids and or proteins. The animals get the nitrogen from the plant that they eat, or other animals that eat the plants. When animals die, microbes take apart the dead animal and release the nitrogen back into the soil.
