What is a nerve impulse?

• a reaction to a question, experience, or some other type of stimulus.

• like a bunch of wires or cables that send signals to and from the brain to different organs.

• the relaying of a coded signal from a nerve cell to an effector (a muscle cell, a gland cell or another nerve cell) in response to a stimulus.

• causes an action or response, like the ringing of your alarm clock if you didn't sleep through it.

What is the corpus callosum?

• The front part of the brain controls movement, coordination, temperature, touch, sight/vision, hearing, speech and language, judgment, reasoning, problem-solving, etc.

• The back part of the brain that controls coordinating voluntary muscle movements and maintain posture, balance, and equilibrium.

• A bridge in your brain that helps the left and the right sides talk to each other.

• An important organ that connects the rest of the brain to the spinal cord that controls all the functions your body needs to stay alive such as breathing air, digesting food, and circulating blood.
