The United States has many symbols that represent it, including the flag, the Liberty Bell, and the Statue of Liberty. However, perhaps the most famous symbol is a bird. The Bald Eagle is the National Bird of America. Bald Eagles can live all around the country, as long as there is a large water supply and large trees for nesting. The state with the most Bald Eagles is Alaska. For a short time, the Bald Eagle was on the endangered species list. However, they have recovered and are no longer in danger of extinction. This beautiful bird can be seen on stamps, logos and coins as a symbol of the United States.
