What is the best summary of the scene?
The raven on a totem pole tries to drive the other figures of a fox and a spider away from the totem pole. He brags about being the best trickster and claims that his reputation is worldwide. To settle who belongs on the totem pole, Raven cheerfully agrees to a contest.
Three characters are positioned on a totem pole. The Raven claims to be the only one who belongs there because the other characters are foreign. Reynard the fox and Anansi the spider team up to challenge Raven to a contest to see who has the best trickster story. The contest will show what they have in common.
A Raven, a fox, and a spider argue about who should be at the top figure of the totem pole Each character makes a claim. They decide that the differences between them are so great that they cannot decide upon a winner.
Raven boasts that he is the best story teller and trickster of all time. The other characters -Reynard and Anansi- disagree. They claim that being from France and Africa makes them better tricksters. Since no one can agree, the characters decide they will take turns being the best trickster of all.
