MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTION

The following text is for the question!
Machupicchu represented a major challenge for Man against nature, as it was built on a plateau
that emerged half way out of a mountain. Peruvian historian Alfonsina Barrionuevo
wrote: "its palaces and temples are suspended over the granite Urubamba canyon, hanging
above the river.”
The terrain is undulating and abrupt, which is why Machupicchu did not have the characteristics
of a conventional city. The citadel featured many housing units scattered all over the site at different altitudes, separated by precipices and linked by dangerously steep paths. It is bordered by the mountains Huaynu Picchu to the North, Cutija to the South, Putucusi to the East and the Valley of Ccollipani to the West.
Machupicchu is surrounded by hills on top of the incas built ceremonial altars, stressing the ceremonial nature of the area, evidence of the major spiritual importance it had for the incas. Machupicchu was made up of two sectors: urban and agricultural, although there were other sectors which were not necessarily inhabited, such as: Waynapijchu, the Temple of the Moon, Intipunku and the Raised Bridge.
The names of the areas were invented by Hiram Bingham, who speculated on the function each
site could have had depending on its size, location and other characteristics.
What is the main idea of the second paragraph?
The appearance of Machupicchu
The history of Machupicchu
The inventor of the name of Machupicchu
How Machupicchu was made up
The Function of Machupicchu

The Legend of Situ Bagendit
Once upon a time a widow lived. She was called Nyai Bagendit. She was known as the richest person in the village where she lived. She lived in a large house. There was a great deal of jewellery in the house. There were also several servants to serve her.
Although Nyai Bagendit was prosperous, she rarely helped the villagers. She was also regarded as a mean person with a bad attitude. The villagers who borrowed her money had to return it double. If they couldn't return her money, she would take everything they had.
Nyai Bagendit loved her money and the things she had. She never gave a little of her money to the beggars who ever asked for. She disliked beggars; they were lazy for her. She always treated the beggars badly.
One day, a beggar came to Nyai Bagendit. The beggar was a very old woman. She looked so weak. She begged some food to Nyai Bagendit, but she was chided.
“This is my house, not a restaurant. I don't have any food for you," said Nyai Bagendit unpleasantly to the beggar.
“Then please give me money to buy food. I'm starving," begged the beggar.
"Lazy woman! Work and earn your own money! Get out of my house!" Nyai Bagendit told her servants to take the beggar away. The beggar wept. While she stepped leaving the house, she prayed inside her heart.
“Oh, dear God. I am feeling miserable to be treated like this. I pray You to show Your justice." Soon after the beggar prayed, she heard a scream from Nyai Bagendit's house. An earthquake occurred, but it's only at Nyai Bagendit's house. All the villagers also came to see what happened.
“Help! Somebody help me!" Nyai Bagendit cried loudly. But, no one helped her. The villagers knew that God was punishing Nyai Bagendit.
The earthquake was so huge that Nyai Bagendit's house ruined down. All the jewellery and things owned by Nyai Bagendit were also damaged and gone because of the earthquake. Then the ruined house was amazingly changed into a lake. The villagers named it Situ Bagendit.
What did Nyai Bagendit do to the villagers who couldn't return her money double?
She gave them more money.
The villagers had to be her servant.
She took the villagers' things.
She changed the villagers into a lake.
She asked the beggar to condemn the villagers.
