What is the purpose of the second paragraph?

Is Daylight Saving Time something you look forward to? The start of Daylight Saving Time means waking up an hour ealier, even if the clocks tell you otherwise. It doesn't seem like much, but even just an hour of sleep loss can harm children -causing mood swings and irritability. What can you do to help your body adjust to the new time settings?

The best way to prepare is to use the week before Daylight Saving Time to adapt slowly. You can't expect your internal clocks to reset as quickly as your iphone's clock. Gradually sleep a little earlier each night to make the adjustment as smooth as possible. If your bedtime is 8pm, shift it to 7:45 pm, and then 7:30 pm, and so on. You aim to get as close to 7 pm as you can. You may not actually fall asleep until the usual bedime. However, the sooner you start your bedtime process, the more time you have to prepare and calm down.

to list the effects of Daylight Saving Time on children

to show how Daylight Saving Time originated

to give guidance to children on how they can adjust to Daylight Saving Time

to point out the advantages of Daylight Saving Time
