There has been one tie in Buggy history. Which organization tied for victory with PiKA in that race?

Spirit

SDC

Sigma Nu

Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE)

Answer explanation

Media Image

Due to large crowds at the Finish Line in 1922, there was only a narrow pathway for the buggies to pass through. PiKA and SAE collided, crossing the Finish Line together "radiator to radiator", but the judges could not tell which buggy crossed the line first. So both teams were declared co-champions (and a second trophy had to be purchased for an extra $10).
