Being Truthful (In the Community)

In your neighborhood, there’s a fundraiser to help buy books for the local library. Your friend Ahmed says he donated money, but you saw him keeping the money in his pocket instead of giving it. He tells everyone he donated.

What would you advice Ahmad to do?

• Ahmed should keep the money and not worry about it.
• Ahmed should lie and say he donated more than he did.
• Ahmed should be truthful and donate the money.

Being Truthful (In School)

During a class project, your classmate, Fatimah, copied some answers from a friend’s paper. The teacher, Mr. Ahmad, sees her and asks if she copied. Fatimah is scared and thinks about saying she didn’t.

What would you advice Fatimah to do?

• Fatimah should blame her friend for the answers.
• Fatimah should deny copying and insist she did the work herself.
• Fatimah should admit that she copied the answers.

Being Truthful (At Home)

You accidentally broke your brother’s toy, but you don’t want him to be mad. You think about saying someone else did it.

What should you do?

• I would tell my brother the truth about breaking his toy.
• I would hide the toy and pretend I never saw it.
• I would blame the cat for breaking the toy.

Being Truthful (To Parents)

You’re playing outside with your friends and accidentally break a neighbor’s window while playing soccer. You know you should tell your parents, but you’re worried they might get upset with you.

What should you do?

• Tell your parents about the broken window.
• Ignore the situation and hope no one notices.
• Blame it on your friends and deny any involvement.

Being Truthful (To Self)

You promised yourself that you would study for an upcoming test, but when the day comes, you feel like playing video games instead with your friends. After playing for hours, you realize you haven’t studied at all. You now have to face the test without being prepared.

What would you do?

• I would skip the test and play more video games.
• I would blame my friends for distracting me from studying.
• I would realise my mistake, review what I can and do my best on the test.
