Mood

• The feelings (vibes) you get when you read a text.

  For Example:

  It was a dark and stormy night.

• The physical setting of a story.

• The main character's personality.

• The plot structure of a narrative.

Setting

• The time and place in which the story takes place.

• The main character's internal conflict.

• The climax of the story.

• The resolution of the plot.

Figurative Language

• Language that uses words or expressions with a meaning different from the literal interpretation

  For Example:

  It's raining cats and dogs!

• Language that uses words in their exact meaning

• Language that is only used in poetry

Point of View

• The perspective from which a story is told.
