• The number of the line or space the note is on

Your Right Hand starting position is near....

• Middle C

• Bass C

• Treble C

• High C

To make playing the music easier, instead of counting beats for the notes....

• Use the rhythm of the lyrics

• Tap your foot to keep the beat

• Say the beats "out loud" as you play

• Ignore the beats for now

When a finger number appears in a circle.....

• Play that note louder than the other notes

• Play that note softer than the other notes

• Switch and use the other hand

• It means you will be moving your hand to a new position - and place that finger number on the new note.
