Jehovah's Witnesses Beliefs

The Bible says, “Jehovah is the Most High over all the earth.” (Psalm 83:18)
Jehovah is the one true God, the Almighty Creator. He is the God of Abraham, Moses, and Jesus.—Revelation 4:11; John 20:17.

• There are many gods to we should worship.

The Bible says that it is “inspired of God and beneficial.” (2 Timothy 3:16)
The Bible is God’s message to humans. It is more reliable than tradition or human opinion.—Isaiah 40:8; John 17:17.

• The Bible is mostly accurate but contains human opinions.

• The entire Bible is from Jehovah and is fully trustworthy.

The Bible says, “The Father is greater than I am.” (John 14:28)
Jesus is God’s Son. He is not equal to Jehovah, but always honored Him as the only true God.—John 17:3; Matthew 16:16.

God’s Kingdom is a real heavenly government that will bring peace to the earth.—Daniel 2:44; Isaiah 9:6,7.

• God’s Kingdom is just something in our hearts.

• God's Kingdom is a real heavenly government that will bring peace to the earth.

The Bible says, “The God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed.” (Daniel 2:44)
That Kingdom will soon replace all human governments and last forever.—Psalm 145:13.

• Jehovah’s Kingdom influences earthly governments.

• Jehovah’s Kingdom will soon replace all human governments.

The Bible says, “There is no salvation in anyone else.” (Acts 4:12)
Only Jesus’ ransom sacrifice makes forgiveness and everlasting life possible.—John 3:16; Matthew 20:28.

• Jesus’ ransom sacrifice is the only way to gain everlasting life.

• Jesus taught people how to be good so they can earn salvation.

The Bible says, “This means everlasting life, their coming to know you… and…the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.” (John 17:3)
Everlasting life comes from knowing Jehovah and following Jesus.—1 John 2:17; Romans 6:23.

• Everlasting life comes from knowing Jehovah and following Jesus.

• Everlasting life is a natural part of the soul’s journey.

The Bible says, “They will be priests…to rule as kings over the earth.” (Revelation 5:10)
Only 144,000 faithful Christians will go to heaven to rule with Jesus.—Luke 12:32; Revelation 14:1.
So as Jehovah’s Witnesses, we believe… (Beliefs about Heaven)

• All good people go to heaven.

• Only a limited number of faithful Christians will go to heaven to rule with Jesus.

The Bible says, “The righteous will possess the earth and live forever on it.” (Psalm 37:29)
God will make the earth a paradise for those who obey him.—Isaiah 65:21–25.

• God’s purpose is for obedient humans to live forever on a paradise earth.
