I'm Nghi, and I'm from Vietnam. We have many festivals and holidays in Vietnam, but my favorite holiday is Lunar New Year. It's usually in January or February, and I don't go to school for a week. We clean our houses and put up red paper to celebrate Lunar New Year. Red is a lucky color in Vietnam. On Lunar New Year, everyone wears new clothes. Lucky money is my favorite part of Lunar New Year. Kids get lucky money from their parents and grandpar ents. Kids also watch the lion dance and eat lots of cookies and candy. Lunar New Year is a lot of fun.
