Some of the benefits it may leave is that depending on the shape. size, color, lenght, species, etc and the environment. Such as a sheep and a wolf the sheep may be in a big grassy field with fences around it meaning the wolf can't get it. On contrast their may just be a few sheep in the dark in the middle of the field and the small one is hiding behind some bushes that leaves the rest to fight for there survival. Given these reasonings and many more it will help you better determine whether your heritable traits are enough for your survival
