The myth of Narciso tells the story of a young man, son of a river god and a nymph, who was prophesied to live long as long as he never saw his reflection. At 16, Narciso was admired for his beauty but was arrogant and dismissive of others' affections. Echo, a nymph, fell in love with him but was rejected, leading to her demise. Many others faced similar rejection. One day, Narciso saw his reflection in a lake and fell in love with it, unable to attain it. His obsession led to his death, and it is said that even in the afterlife, he remains captivated by his image.
