In Jerusalem, near the Sheep Gate, there was a pool called Bethesda, believed to have healing powers. On a Sabbath, Jesus visited the pool and encountered a crippled man who had been unable to reach the water for healing. Jesus asked if he wanted to be healed and, despite the man's doubts, told him to get up and walk. The man was healed instantly, drawing attention from onlookers and criticism from religious leaders for carrying his mat on the Sabbath. Later, Jesus found the man in the temple and revealed himself as the healer, advising him to sin no more. The man was not only healed but also forgiven, gaining a new life.
