The video tells the story of the Justice Bell, a symbol of the women's suffrage movement in the U.S. Created in 1915 by Catherine Wentworth Rushenberger, the bell was designed to raise awareness for women's right to vote. It toured Pennsylvania but remained silent until the 19th Amendment was ratified in 1920. Despite this victory, many women and men of color still faced voting restrictions until the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The Justice Bell now resides at the Washington Memorial Chapel and rang again in 2020 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment.
