The video follows two bladesmiths, Mike and Matt, as they compete to recreate the iconic United States Air Force non-commissioned officer's sword. Over four days, they work in their home forges to craft their swords, facing challenges such as using Damascus steel and ensuring the sword's straightness. After completing their swords, they return to present them to a panel of judges who test the swords for sharpness, strength, and overall construction. Mike's sword is ultimately chosen to represent the Air Force in the final Battle of the Branches competition.
