In a celestial realm, four brothers, including the afflicted Deminan, live without knowing their parents. They sneak into the supreme spirit Yaya's house, accidentally creating a new world of seas by breaking a gourd. Separated from the celestial realm, they meet their grandfather Bayamanacao, who reveals their lineage. Deminan's affliction is revealed to be a blessing, marking him as a caracaracol, a link between gods and humans. Despite their power, caracaracols suffer from the same affliction, maintaining balance between worlds.
