In October 2016, Craig McKay from Alaska's Bureau of Land Management observed a strange object in the China River, Fairbanks. The object, estimated to be 20-25 feet long, was swimming against the current. McKay described it as larger than anything he'd seen in the river, moving in a spooky, undulating manner. Alaska has legends of water creatures, such as the Tisharak, a serpentine animal known in Inuit culture. These creatures are said to snatch people from bridges or canoes. The video raises the question of whether McKay's sighting is related to these legends.
