ROBOT SHOWS THE WAY

Chris Southall and his fellow students from the Apprentices School at the Royal Aircraft Establishment in Farnborough designed and built a robot named Rodney. Rodney, powered by a 50cc motor and using a combination of cables and eccentrics, was created for the annual RAG Week. The students aimed to have Rodney walk 50 miles from Farnborough to the Ministry of Technology in London to help raise over £2,000 for charity, surpassing last year's £1,800.
