Isis, Osiris's wife, with the help of Nephthys, searched for and reassembled Osiris, making him the first mummy. Although Osiris did not fully return to life, he became the god of the underworld. Isis, seeking vengeance for Set's actions, encouraged her son Horus to challenge Set. Horus defeated Set and became the new Pharaoh of Egypt.
