Unidentified gunmen kidnap 317 schoolgirls in Nigeria

In Zamfara state, Nigeria, a gunman attacked the Government Girls Science Secondary School in Junga Bay early on February 26th. The attackers operated for hours, also targeting a nearby military camp to prevent intervention. A police officer was killed during the raid. The gunmen kidnapped girls aged 12 to 16, taking them to Dung Gulby Forest, a known haven for criminals and terrorists.
