In 2017, a tragic shooting occurred at an outdoor music festival, resulting in 58 deaths and over 850 injuries. MGM Resorts International has agreed to an $800 million settlement, covering more than 4,400 people affected by the incident. While MGM will contribute $49 million, the rest will be covered by its insurance companies. The settlement was approved by a court, but MGM did not admit liability.
