Brazilian police reported the arrest of a gang involved in reselling Olympic event tickets in Rio. The criminal organization was led by Kevin James Malone, a director at THG, which was not authorized to sell tickets for Rio 2016. The gang, including 10 Brazilians, used cloned credit cards to buy tickets online for high-demand events like the football final and ceremonies, potentially earning over 10 million Brazilian reals. The resellers were caught in a hotel while transacting with buyers, who were also taken to the police station for questioning.
