VOICED : ONU adopta tratado sobre armas

The United Nations adopted a treaty regulating the international trade of conventional arms, approved by 154 countries. The treaty, the first of its kind since 1996, aims to control a $60 billion market, covering weapons from pistols to warships but excluding drones and police equipment. It does not affect national laws on arms possession. The treaty will be effective after ratification by 50 countries, a process expected to take two years.
