Mexican authorities rescued 271 people from a private rehab center in western Mexico, where they were found in overcrowded and unsanitary conditions. Among them were 112 minors, some showing signs of abuse. The center, located in Tonala near Guadalajara, was also used as a hideout by individuals evading arrest. Many private rehab centers in Mexico operate with little state support and are often overcrowded.
