Evacuated German amb calls for talks in SSudan

Last Friday, intense fighting broke out in South Sudan between the forces of Vice President Riek Machar and President Salva Kiir. The German government decided to evacuate its citizens due to the escalating violence. The evacuation began at 10 AM and concluded with the last flight from Juba at 6 PM. All Germans wishing to leave were safely evacuated. Dual nationals remained but are currently safe. The situation led to international cooperation, with approximately 200 people evacuated to Entebbe. Future plans for these evacuees include staying in Uganda, returning to South Sudan, or traveling to Europe.
