In Northern Canada, a young polar bear seeks food as winter ends. It attempts to snatch a meal from an older, larger bear, engaging in a dangerous game of patience and cunning. The older bear, intolerant of rivals, charges and forces the young bear to retreat. The young bear then waits for the older bear to finish eating, eventually feeding on the leftovers. Although it gains a full belly, it will take time before it can compete again.
